To everyone, Long Beach does ring a bell. The name itself calls for what every adventure seeking individual would call a whole lot of fun. True to how we have heard of it, the Long Beach Metro does not disappoint when you are looking for your longed-for perfect getaway. Whether with the entire family enjoying a fun-filled weekend, a trip for two with your loved one for your romantic anniversaries or even spending some time discovering enthralling destinations by yourself, your travel to Long Beach IS the way to go- no questions asked.
For those of you who are in continuous lookout for the ideal destinations, the Vagabond Inn Long Beach Hotel is it! Situated right at the heart of everything happening in downtown Long Beach, this hotel will surely be a comfortable resting place before you seek to find some entertaining activities for the day. Speaking of which, this hotel is just within reach to the beach, Long Beach restaurants, museums, parks and of course shopping centers. This is where my best friends and I stayed. The hospitality of the hotel staff is just incredible and the amenities do not fail to impress. This is where we found ourselves settled before finding our next destinations. If the beach is what you are after, then you need not worry because the Long Beach State Beach is within few stretches of your legs. Feel free to join in the fun, look over the divine scenery and enjoy meeting new people and double the fun in viewing the setting sun. Well, if you are in the mood for some astounding views perfect for exploration and close to paradise, the Santa Catalina Island is just one or two hours away and is accessible via sea or air. I strongly suggest taking in the picturesque view for this is an attraction that has a lot of history and does not fail to amaze. As what the hotel where we settled in promised, the most fascinating restaurants are just nearby to impress our tastebuds with delicious meals in between our activities. I remembered us enthusing about our love for Latin American literature that made us go to Alegria Cocina Latina. It is located in Pine Avenue just a brief walk from where we stayed. I can still taste how their Ropa Vieja just tickles my mouth with just the right amount of shredded beef and served with feta and that almost magical sauce that made me get a second serving. My friends and I made a pact that we will spend this getaway enjoying what we do not usually do so we made it a point to visit some of the most enchanting museums around the area. Just a mile away southwest of the hotel, a quick 1 and a half hour drive from where we were, the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific is like spending an hour or more stay in the world of the Little Mermaid. It has wonderful representations of the Pacific Ocean. Well, we can’t say we have seen it all in Long Beach,
yet. But we surely will be coming back for more.
